It's the first day of March, which means spring is just around the corner. Aside from the traditional pastels and floral prints, the spring/summer fashion week runways brought us an interesting mix of bold and colorful styles to look forward to this season.

If you're ready to update your look for the upcoming season, here are my top 5 trends you'll be seeing everywhere this spring/summer.

1) Bright/Rainbow Colors

This spring/summer you'll be seeing a lot of overtly saturated styles. Don't be afraid to work the look from head-to-toe or take a more modest approach by adding just one statement piece to make your look standout.

2) Sheer

Skin is in this season with naked and sheer designs taking over as the go-to style to add a touch of sex appeal to your wardrobe.

3) Sequins

No longer reserved for special occasions or nights out on the town, sequin embellishments, big and small, are the perfect way to dress up even the most simplest of outfits.

4) Tassels/Fringe

Shimmy and shake this spring in a bevy of tassel and fringe adorned pieces that add a not-so-subtle twist to chic wardrobe additions.

5) Denim

Reconstructed and standout denim styles have been a constant theme on the runways these past few seasons. To rock the trend with ease, opt for pieces that an edgy and funky element to your look.

Bonus: 90s Influence

The 90s trend is still going strong into the spring/summer season. From micro cat-eye shades to motor sport inspired styles and fanny packs, the 90s revival is giving me all kinds of nostalgic feels.

Which spring trends are you looking forward to rocking this season?
