What To Wear: 5 Fall Trends To Add To Your Everyday Wardrobe
Fall has arrived! This is definitely my favorite time of the year and I'm excited to see all of the new trends and wardrobe essentials popping up in stores and online. Layers are my absolute favorite part of Fall dressing. You can never have too many layers in my opinion. And each new season gives me a reason to reach for my credit card and update my wardrobe accordingly. But with so many new trends, it can be a challenge deciding what's worth spending your hard earned coins on.
Kaleta asks, "Hello, first and foremost I love your site. What are some of the trends for everyday wear for Fall 2017?"
While I always say tread lightly when it comes to trends, adding a few seasonal updates that fit your personal style can give your look a fresh feel. And when it comes to everyday wear it really depends on your lifestyle as everyone's day-to-day is different. But some trends can transition across the board, it just depends on the piece and how you rock it. So to keep it short and simple, I've compiled a list of my 5 favorite fall trends to add to your everyday look.
Leopard Print - even though leopard print is a wardrobe staple for many, no matter the season, it's making major waves as the go-to trend for Fall 2017. Whether you're rocking a printed blazer, a sleek printed pump, or a plush fur coat (real or faux) , leopard print adds a pop of sass and a bit of edge to any look.
Lady In Red - red is such a powerful color and this season is all about making a bold statement in head-to-toe red ensembles. Even pops of red will add an eye-catching element to your look. For work wear, try a red power suit or a tailored double-breasted coat. For the weekend, opt for a red leather jacket with zipper details or a stylish ankle bootie.
Statement Sleeves - statement sleeves have been a wardrobe must have for both spring and summer, so it's no surprise that colder weather staples would get an update too. From balloon to bell and tied-sleeve styles, a statement sleeve top gives your look a chic finish.
Checkered Blazers - this trend gives me true 90s vibes. I just think of women rocking the look, sleeves scrunched up with a white tank top or tee and a pair of mom jeans. What I love about the trend is it's versatility. You can work it at the office Monday-Friday with a pair of pumps or dress it down on the weekends with jeans and sneakers or a sleek ankle boot.
Velvet - a major trend in 2016, velvet is still going strong this Fall season. Whether it's a handbag, plush footwear, or a tailored jacket, velvet adds a luxe detail to your look with texture and style.
What Fall 2017 trends are you looking forward to wearing this season?
